Our Membership is being hosted on Circle. You can join us HERE:

Transparency Note:

NorCalSEPA has an affiliate agreement with SEI.

(Located here: https://norcalsepa.com/affiliate-agreement-with-sei)

In that agreement it is noted that membership to NorCalSEPA would be offered solely through SEI membership application.  SEI is in the process of updating their technology to accommodate this procedure.  Until this time, NorCalSEPA has verbal permission to proceed with taking membership. As it stands, we would like to be able to continue to offer free standing membership.  This is a negotiation that we plan to initiate with SEI in the future.

Signing up for membership today allows you access to the benefits offered on the Circle platform.  Membership here does not constitute included membership with SEI’s membership offerings.

 Membership Benefits (Working Concepts)

Membership benefits will evolve from year one as we learn what is important to our members. All benefits will be designed to enhance goal of building community, capacity and communication. These are goals and will evolve as the capacity of the organization can meet them. Here are the following ideas:

Online presence

  • Website – to include listing of events, resources such as articles published about SE, links to SERC with research studies completed and in progress, webinars, and more to be defined.

  • Circle – private group for members only, Facebook public page as a way to attract new members and give information

  • LinkedIn presence

  • Google calendar for events, visible to the public. To include events for members and non-members.

  • Groups list serv (already in place), for members and non-members

  • Email list – for announcements or newsletter

  • Practitioners Listing - Need to have a SEI Listing to be linked to

Gathering in Community (ideas)

  • Quarterly SE Salons in different regions – these Salons would have a local speaker, time to connect and discussion topic.

  • East Bay SE Networking Meet Up – This would be a monthly event that would allow people connected to SE to share their practice, discuss challenges and develop plans for building SE community.

  • SEPA Holiday Party – This Holiday party will likely happen in early Jan.

  • SEPA Sponsored Speakers Series – Invite SE luminaries out to speak on a quarterly basis. Might also include speakers in fields related to SE that will enhance SE Practitioner capacity. Invite speakers from outside our area steeped in other modalities. Consider developing a half day or whole day program.

  • “Fireside” Gatherings – periodic gatherings in which members meet informally for social engagement and meaningful connection.

  • Webinars - Invite speakers on topics relevant to Northern California SE Practitioners. May be in addition to speaker series above or separate. Possibility of recording local presentations to make available to wider audience.

Disaster Response Initiative

  • Define NorCal SEPA’s role in local and national/international disaster response in year one.

  • Host disaster response trainings in collaboration with SEI for interested participants (member and non-member).

  • Maintain list of interested participants.

  • Create relationships with local disaster relief agencies and set up protocols in advance of disasters.
